Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. Consensable uses browser localStorage — a similar technology that stores data locally in your browser without an expiry date, until you clear it or sign out.

We currently use no tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not share any browser-stored data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Scripts

If you use social sign-in (Google, Facebook, or Apple), the respective provider's authentication script is loaded. These scripts may set their own cookies governed by that provider's privacy policy:

• Google Identity Services — Google Privacy Policy
• Facebook Login SDK — Meta Privacy Policy
• Apple Sign In — Apple Privacy Policy

These scripts are only loaded if you attempt to sign in via the corresponding provider. If you use email/password sign-in, no third-party scripts are loaded.

How to Manage or Delete Storage

You can clear localStorage at any time:

• Sign out from the app — this removes your authentication token.
• Browser settings — clear site data for consensable.com in your browser's privacy/security settings.
• Developer tools — open the browser console and run localStorage.clear().

Note: clearing localStorage while signed in will sign you out.

Legal Basis

The essential storage items listed above are strictly necessary for the service to function and do not require consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). The cookie acknowledgement banner is provided for transparency.

Changes

We will update this policy if we introduce new storage technologies. Material changes will be communicated via the service.
